Firefighter I Graduation
Ceremony
All
firefighters who received their Firefighter I certification
between January 2007 and September 2008 are invited to
participate in the Firefighter I Graduation Ceremony at the
Suffolk County Fire Academy on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at
10:00 a.m. Click here for a

which may be faxed to Deputy Director Robert Holley at 924-6825 or
e-mailed to
Rholley@scfa-li.org. If you have any questions,
please call the Academy at 924-6822.

New Open Enrollment Policy
In an effort
to quell the rash of No Shows at Open Enrollment
Classes, the Fire Academy will institute a new procedure for
registration for these programs. A $25.00 registration must
accompany all applications for Open Enrollment Programs.
This fee will be reimbursed upon completion of the class. If
a student fails to show without contacting the Academy at
least 48 hours prior to the start of class or does not
complete the program, the registration fee will be
forfeited
As in the
past, a course confirmation letter will be sent to each
student, which must be presented on the first day of class.
This letter will only be sent after the application and
registration fee has been received. Most of our Open
Enrollment Classes have waiting lists so it is imperative
that students who are unable to attend a class notify us so
we may fill their seat from the waiting list.

Registration Form and submit with your check
payable to the "Suffolk County Fire Academy" in addition
to the online registration.

Basic
Structural Collapse Course will be held at Brookhaven
National Lab, Building 488, Upton, New York. The
class is open to firefighters in Suffolk County.
Online pre-registration
is required.
